Female Evaluation Women can have several reasons for not becoming pregnant. A complete evaluation of the female partner includes obtaining a gynecologic and medical history, examination, and hormone testing. Additional steps in the evaluation may include a hysterosalpingogram ("tube test") or laparoscopy (a minor surgical procedure). Routine exams and PAP testing should be completed by the primary physician.
