Dr. Kutluk Oktay preforms 1st successful robotic overian tissue transplant:
Dr. Kutluk Oktay performed the 1st successful robotic ovarian tissue transplant in a British woman who had her ovarian tissue cryopreserved 5 years ago prior to undergoing cancer chemotherapy. This opens many options for patients who wish to preserve their fertility before cancer treatment and is particularly beneficial for patients who cannot or do not choose to do IVF, such as patients with hormonally sensitive tumors or children. The patient has written an account of her experiences in www.lifeonice.org.
